The BBC proudly announces the launch of GHOSTS OF ALBION, a thrilling animated horror/adventure laced with dark humour, created and written by Amber Benson and Christopher Golden, and directed by Benson.

GHOSTS OF ALBION is a tale of demons, vampires and ghosts. This dark-humor-laden supernatural yet historical series is set in the 19th Century and is sure to please fans around the world.

On the death of their grandfather, a famed stage magician, a brother and sister discover that not all of the old man's magic was performed on a stage. The siblings find themselves the inheritors of an extraordinary legacy, and must bear the burden and the sorcerous power that makes them the mystical guardians of early 19th century England. Upcoming talents Jasmine Hyde and Rory Kinnear will play siblings Tamara and William, supported by a host of talent including Emma Samms (Dynasty, The Colbys) and Anthony Daniels (Star Wars).

Amber Benson, best known for her portrayal of Tara on BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER, is an actress/writer/director whose most recent work includes the upcoming films LATTER DAYS and CHANCE (which she also wrote, produced and directed).

Christopher Golden is a novelist (THE FERRYMAN, OF SAINTS AND SHADOWS) and comic book writer (DOCTOR FATE) who has also written numerous Buffy novels and comics. His website address is http://www.christophergolden.com

The GHOSTS OF ALBION website - http://www.bbc.co.uk/cult/ghosts/ - will launch on March 27th, with the first of five animated episodes visualised by the acclaimed Cosgrove Hall team. Each episode is 12 minutes long, making the series one hour in total. Visitors will also be able to explore and participate in an expanded online world.
