2004: She had it replaced with an inscription in Arabic. I recieved several interpretations about what it means: acording to Zeina it means "will" or "determination", and acording to Ahmad it means "resolve" (spelt "Al Azema").



A dragon and a blue window tattooed in the middle of of her lowerback. She said she felt like she needed to get a window tattooed on her because all her life she found her self looking out of a window and always wished to be somewhere else.



2004: Angelina got a tiger tattoed over the blue window.


February, 2004: Angelina tattooed herself with the feminist slogan 'Know Your Rights.' "'This tattoo symbolizes where I am today," proclaimed Angelina. "No one's ever gonna take advantage of me again."



July, 2003: Angelina got the number 13 written in ancient Roman numbers (XIII). She has it on the back of her left arm and she said she got it to show that she doesnīt believe in bad luck.



This one is a a traditional Khmer motif and is featured with five vertical rows of ancient Khmer script, which said would ward off bad luck and help her avoid accidents.


This is the Chinese symbol for "death", placed on her shoulder. She got it because when ever she looks at it (if she can, since itīs on her back), it would remind her to live.


These are two tribal designs on her lowerback.


She wanted to get a tattoo that would make her think about two important people in here life (back then). So she got this H tattoed for her brother James Haven and her former boyfriend Timothy Hutton.

October 2004: Angelina took it off! Seen for the first time on the premiere of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow in Los Angeles.


She had Billy Bobīs name above the dragon but she got that one removed too.


The sentence "A prayer for the wild at heart kept in cages" by Tennessee Williams, placed on her left forearm.




She got this black cross to remove the blue dragon she did when she was drunk. "I dropped my pants in a tattoo parlor in Amsterdam. I woke up in a waterbed with this funky-looking dragon with a blue tongue on my hip. I realized I made a mistake, so a few months later I got a cross to cover it. When my pants hang low, it looks like I'm wearing a dagger!"
Lying next the cross is there a latin quote: "Quod me nutrit me destruit", which means: "What nourishes me also destroys me".


A chinese symbol meaning Courage - she got it to match her (then) husband Jonny Lee Miller and then later got it removed because she felt that it wasn't her.
